Zil Kale is a historical castle rising above the F\u0131rt\u0131na Valley in the \u00c7aml\u0131hem\u015fin district of Rize. It is located approximately 750 meters above sea level. It was built for defense purposes in the 14th century.<\/p>

Being built on a steep cliff, it provided dominance in the region and played a strategic role. Inside the Zil Kale, there are structures such as a guard room, a chapel, and a main tower. Zil Kale is located in the middle of F\u0131rt\u0131na Valley in \u00c7aml\u0131hem\u015fin district of Rize. It is approximately 40 km from Rize city center. It is easily accessible on the road to Ayder Yaylas\u0131. You can reach this historical castle with your own vehicle or with tour companies in the region. Most of the road is asphalt and the last part is a stabilized road.<\/p>
